Hederman at The English Market
While very much a newcomer to this 200–year–old traders’ market of fish, meat and fowl, Frank Hederman, has nonetheless had a presence here for nearly 20 years. Our speciality smoked food shop is unique to Ireland, as well as Cork. In addition to the food produced in our smoke house, we sell a range of smoked fish pates, salads and fishcakes all produced by hand in our smoke house kitchen fresh for market.
Unfortunately orders cannot be taken for food at the English Market due to space restrictions. Any orders must be placed with the smoke house for home delivery or collection from the smoke house.

BELVELLY SMOKE HOUSE
We have an informal shop at the smoke house, and usually stock our core products, such as smoked salmon and mackerel. If it is smoked fish pates, salads and fishcakes you would like, we advise you to visit our shop in the English Market, or local farmers markets, as these tend to be delivered to market as soon as they are ready.
We very much welcome visitors and can provide tours when we have the time and the staff to assist, but unfortunately we have a small crew and it is not always possible. For individuals who wish to visit, there is no charge, but we would ask you to call on the day of your visit, so that we can let you know whether it suits or not. Pre-booked visits to see the smoke house can be arranged for large groups by direct contact with the smokehouse. There will be a minimum charge. The latter half of the week, Wednesday to Friday, generally works best for visits.
