Belvelly Smoke House is co-owned by Frank’s wife Caroline Workman, who has worked in speciality food for over 25 years, as a restaurateur, food marketing consultant, food writer and restaurant critic after an earlier career in publishing. Originally from County Down, she married Frank and joined the smoke house in 2005 and has since been at the helm as its General Manager with a preference for marketing, branding, design, business and recipe development, and social media. In recent times her focus has been the kitchen team, with whom she has originated countless dishes which celebrate the smoke house ingredients. Since Covid, she has also been planning & project-managing the walled garden and smoke yard for outdoor dining. Both are currently in progress.
Frank and Caroline are backed up by a steadfast team, who share their commitment to delicious well made food. Between them they manage customer service, corporate clients, international & domestic sales (Thamires), production at the smoke house (Dan & Tom), production and recipe development in our kitchen (Alessandra), maintenance at the smoke house (Dan), management of the English Market shop (Vanessa), and our farmers market stalls (Tom & Beatrice). Normally there are 8 of us, but at Christmas this number doubles to cope with the huge seasonal demand for our smoked fish. Everyone is dedicated to top notch quality and making sure our customers enjoy their time shopping with us.
